Note 1: An attempt has been made to join or place the magazine article clipping souvenirs of Pierre together when originals were on facing pages. The source of the clippings was not always available. Together, they do show a record of the popularity and skills of this legendary man. Pierre Gruneberg's ability and devotion to teaching non-swimmers to swim is truly remarkable.
Note 2: The setting of the majority of the recent photos are against the backdrop of the magnificent "infinity" pool located at the Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat on the southern tip of Cap Ferrat. Cap Ferrat is located eight miles east of Nice, France and eight miles west of Monte Carlo, Monaco. It is a "must see" on anyone's tour of the French Riviera. It shows up very well on "Google Earth."
Note 3: The term "infinity" pool is used to describe a pool designed with no exposed perimeter on the scenic side of the pool, in this case, the Mediterranean Sea. There is a submerged curb on that side of the pool. However, the pool water which disappears over the "infinity" side of the pool is recirculated into the pool through filters. The Hotel du Cap pool is "salt water" which is more theraputic and healthy for the body than chlorinated water. For that reason, you will see most good swimmers using goggles while exercising in the pool.
